Each player gets 7 cards. The table starts empty: the first player opens with any card. After that, play a card that matches the top card's suit or number. If you can't, tap the deck to pick one.
2 — your opponent picks 2, or answers with their own 2 and you pick 2.
Ace of spades — blocks a 2: nobody picks, and play starts again — the other player can play any card of any suit. Played normally, it's an ordinary Ace.
8 and J — your opponent misses a turn, so you play again.
Ace — play it on anything and ask for any suit.
The cut — the face-up card beside the deck sets the cut suit (it stays there all game and is never picked). Whoever plays the 7 of that suit ends the game: both hands are counted and the lower total wins.
Points: 3–10 face value, J 11, Q 12, K 13, A 15, 2 20.
Reshuffle — when the deck is down to 5 cards, all played cards except the 5 newest are shuffled back into the deck.
20 cards — once you hold 20 or more cards you can only pick when you have nothing to play (no matching card and no Ace; facing a 2: no 2 and no Ace of spades).
Play all your cards to win outright. You have 25 seconds for every move — from 10 seconds left your phone buzzes, and if time runs out, you lose.
